LEGACYLAND is an extension of the
Pastor Curtis Brooks Legacy Foundation

In June of 2021, my son was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder. I remember voicing my concerns to our doctor about signs I was seeing, however, I wasn’t sure if I was being an overprotective mom or was I in denial.
After several visits, my concerns were validated by the specialist and then I went into battle mode. I wasn't going to let anything stand in the way of getting the best care for my child. When we received the diagnosis, I took some time to process what we were being told. I prayed and began working and educating myself on how I could better assist and advocate for my child. After countless therapy sessions, workshops, informational sessions, parent engagement meetings, and more, I am committed to educating families and providing resources to those struggling with developmental differences. It's been a tough journey, but I know that my child is worth it and I will do everything in my power to give them the best possible future.
